Blossomwood Elementary enjoyed a wonderful, positive presentation by John Cooper.  Mr. Cooper's age appropriate presentations were fun, fast-paced, and packed with encouraging messages about reading and being a winner in life.  What better messages to give to our students!

After the presentations (John did 2 two - the first one for our K-2 students and the second for our 3rd-5th students)   I asked the students what they liked most about the assembly.  My younger students loved the fire that popped out of the book and the talking puppet.  The older students thought it was pretty cool that Mr. Cooper actually taught them a magic trick.  One fifth grader was impressed that Mr. Cooper knew all the books that he liked, especially since he was an adult!

Mr. Cooper's presentation fit right in with our school theme of reading excellence.  Teachers and students were delighted with Mr. Cooper's magic, both with props and words.

I would highly recommend this program for any school that wants to have fun with the message that "Reading Is Awesome."

John Cooper is, by far, the best educational speaker our school has ever had.  His presentation to the students, "Readers Are Leaders," was not only motivating, but entertaining as well.  He used humor, puppetry, student participation, and magic to effectively inspire reading.  I was especially impressed with the respect he showed the children.  His rapport with them was magical in itself.  He easily held their attention for an hour.  They loved the choral participation and are eager to meet the reading challenge he presented to them.

We have been working very hard teaching our students about the importance of reading and this program reinforced our efforts in an entertaining way.  Everyone was impressed with the positive messages as well as with the quality of the presentations.

One of my very active fifth graders excitedly told me that he really enjoyed the assembly and asked when was Mr. Cooper coming back -- now that is a testimony of what a great job you did.  When parents and teachers are still talking about how valuable and inspiring your presentations were -- that's testimony.

The "Readers Are Leaders" student assemblies were a perfect fit with our school goal of improving reading for all students this year.  You captured the students' attention the minute they entered the gym and held it the entire time.  Your enthusiasm for reading spread quickly throughout the student body.  As a follow-up to your challenge to read ten books in thirty days, we sent a recording sheet home with the students.  The response has been great.  This is clearly due to your motivational, fun-filled, magical presentation about the benefits of being a reader.

Thank you for sharing your program with our school.  I would certainly recommend you, Mr. Cooper, as a great speaker at any school.

John Cooper's program, "Readers Are Leaders!", was excellent.  Through juggling, magic tricks, and puppetry, he involved students in a lively, fast-paced presentation.  Although John was humorous and entertaining, his message came through loud and clear: Read everyday and set goals for yourself.

John arrived early, did his own set-up, and was completely flexible in adapting to our school's needs.  His positive attitude motivated students and faculty.  We would highly recommend this program for any K-5 school.

The faculty and students here at Cason Lane really enjoyed the assembly program, "Readers Are Leaders."  You did a wonderful job of tying your most appropriate messages into our need for a fundraiser kickoff.  Since we use a Read-A-Thon as our fundraiser, you inspired children to read not just for this purpose but for the purpose of improving their lives and their futures.

As I told you, I especially enjoyed the Cinderella story.  It was hilarious.  You captured their attention, you made the adults smile, and provided an excellent opportunity for all of us.

John Cooper presented "Readers Are Leaders" to our students. He reinforced our school reading program by using books from our Media Center as part of the presentation. He recognized the student who had read the most books during the year, and he completely entertained everyone from kindergarten students to faculty with his upbeat presentation about reading. I have written to every elementary school principal in our school system recommending his program.

"Readers Are Leaders" is a motivational reading program for students similar to what teacher attend to get them "up" for the school year. Teacher came to me all day thanking me for bringing the program to our school. It made me look like a heroine.

Thank you for coming to Friendship Elementary School! The faculty and students loved your presentation and your message was right on target for our students. As an administrator, I feel our kids heard from a different perspective the value of reading and becoming a lifelong learner. Your suggestions and ideas will certainly have an impact on our students and their interest in reading.

I would highly recommend your program to other schools and we look forward to having you back in the near future. Once again, thank you for coming to our school.

John Cooper and "Readers Are Leaders!" are two of the most joyful things that have ever happened at Sheridan Elementary School.

He shared his enthusiasm for books with all the students in two different assemblies.  He incorporated our media center collection and his joy for magic to engage every child from the age of 4 to the age of 10.

The most exciting part of the program, however, was that he excited our teachers.  For the first time ever, I heard teachers leave a program saying he was wonderful and his program was wonderful.

On behalf of the students and faculty of Straughn Elementary School, I thank you for the outstanding school assembly program, "Readers Are Leaders!"  The program was thoroughly enjoyed by all that attended.

I appreciate the motivational messages of the importance of reading and making choices.  As the instructional leader at our school, I know that reading must be a priority of the students and the entire school community.

Again, thank you for the fun-filled program and the information you instilled in my students and teachers.  I've had only positive comments made about the program.  Please continue with your talent of inspiring and motivating children to read.

It was amazing to watch you take command at both student assemblies. Even though the audiences were large, you captivated the children. By incorporating magic, puppetry, and humor into your presentation, you were able to stress the theme of Readers As Leaders in a meaningful way for each child.

It is a week later and the children are still talking about you. You are an excellent role model for students. We know that aliteracy is just as significant as illiteracy, and you gave the students reasons to want to read. You reached them at their level of understanding and touched their hearts and minds with your humorous yet significant message. Children need to understand that they make important choices everyday, and you certainly demonstrated that reading should be one of their priorities.
